Along with our chapter, allied single-payer organizations in the Seattle area, and several PNHP chapters across the country, we will gather to speak out and call attention to the issue of Medicare privatization. The Goal of the Action is to highlight egregious behavior of insurance corporations and reinforce the importance of strengthening - rather than privatizing - publicly financed health insurance programs like Medicare, Medicaid, and CHIP. A "Die-In" will highlight that subscribers to Medicare Advantage would be less likely to die from cancer if they had Traditional Medicare. Gather at 11:45am next Monday, September 30th at the Jackson Federal Building in Seattle.
